The ONLY time I actually use "If Not" is:

If Not %Found(filename)


My bosses would not object to the above. What they really object
to is something like the following and its variants.

if not variable <> value;
// do something
endif;

They would rather see that coded as follows.

if variable = value;
// do something
endif;

Even this would be preferable to them.

if variable <> value;
else;
// do something
endif;
