The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I tried the alcobj command as you suggested Sam.
Apparently it only works for database files.

Maybe ALCOBJ *EXCL and if it fails it is in use. (Don't forget to DLCOBJ
if it succeeds.)
Or maybe the APIs on object locking may be needed.
