They are called "named" licenses as they are for a named user.

I could install it on multiple computers, but only I can use it.

Correction, "Authorized User"

Authorized User
Allows a single user access to the software on any computer or server where
installed. This license cannot be shared with other persons.

Yes it could be legal.

Technically I suppose this is what floating licenses are for. But a
regular license can be applied to more than one machine and as long as only
one is in use at a time it is OK. I don't recall ever seeing anything that
says only one person can use the workstation!

How much does RDI cost? Is there discounts for volume purchases?

What about buying 10 licenses and during the day the onshore folks use
the licenses and at night the off shore folks use them?

Is that legal or even doable? How not installed RDI in so many years
--- well it has been allot of years.

They want free format but won't even have their top guy do a trial on
RDi? Just to see what it's all about? (I am betting that if they do a
fair, RDi will sell itself.)

Thomas - at the place that will not buy RDI or whatever it is called.
