Google was actually my friend for a change! I found the APAR database,
searched for SQL0312, and got several hits. The two that are not applied on
our system:
SI63150 (APAR SE66165: no fixed-form calculation specifications)
SI66970 (APAR SE66973: non displayable tab char in D-Spec)

There were other relevant hits for APARs for which the associated PTFs are
already applied or superseded on our system:
SI52714 (APAR SE58499: DS subfield defined w/ LIKEDS or LIKEREC)
SI43705 (APAR SE48148: DS that has an externally described subfield)
SI60606 (APAR SE64701: RPG source containing a /FREE statement)

Strangely enough, the ones that are already applied/superseded seem to have
more relevance (especially SI43705) than the two listed above that have not
been applied to our system.

I've got a workaround, but it's kludgy and makes the code less clear. It
would be helpful to have this fixed so if someone else runs across this
bug, they won't spend half a day debugging it, like I did.
