The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Good catch. It could be either one.

Subject: Re: IFS Write/Open return codes
If the return codes are the numbers in the 3000's, this tip is probably in Scott's material and in the other link - but here it is, anyhow.
Construct a MSGID from the number by putting CPE in front of the number.
For example, if the number is 3401, you will get CPE3401.
Then use the DSPMSGD command with the MSGID you just constructed - you'll get a brief message with the meaning of the return code.
Now if that is NOT what this is about, please ignore this post!
Cheers
Vern
