I completely understand this reasoning. It's not stupid by any means.
I also understand the reasoning behind the way RDi does it.

True, but RPG is not other languages. Even when two languages have an
equivalent concept, that doesn't mean the syntax encourages the same
style. And even if the syntax *IS* compatible, sometimes different
communities or different shops choose different styling conventions.
If consistency is a high priority, it usually makes the most sense to
follow the prevailing conventions.

However, one or the other, i need to adapt one style, and apparantly most
(all?) use the dcl-pi indented format.

So that's what i'm probably going to use also.

I think that is a good choice.
