I did it this way because it seems more straightforward to me:

PAYAM = *Zero;
For y = 1 to %Elem(Invoices);
PAYAM += Invoices(y).INVAM;
Endfor;

Nope - but this works as it does at most any release.

Dcl-ds x;
array dim(100);
num int(5) overlay(array);
end-ds;

dcl-s tot int(10);

tot = %Xfoot(num);

On 7.1.

I'm wanting to %XFoot a DS array. Compiler complains with:

RNF7591 An operand of a qualified name expression is not valid.
RNF0555 The parameter for %XFOOT is not valid; %XFOOT is ignored.

I found a thread from 2013 stating that one cannot %XFoot a DS array at
7.1.

I won't be at 7.3 for a month at least. Is %XFoot a DS array allowed at
7.3?

Thanks.
