First, has anyone a suggestion for a good tutorial, site, or examples of
using bar code readers with RPG? My search brought dismal results.
My immediate problem is with a 100+ character bar code. I can do the task
with a DSPF and a 100+ character input field. I never want the user to
see the bar code so I am using DSPATR(ND) so everything works OK.
But it really seems a waste of screen space. So I believe my question
is: How can I scan a bar code field with a bar code reader and capture
that information without a defined 100+ character DSPF screen field?
