Thx buck. Dont we all work for other companies for the most part that claim our code as theirs but we still share it all the time?

Dynsql is a bit old and I read the performance is not as good as your own streamlined code.

But thank you!

I'd like to hear from others and any code demonstrations would be nice.

Did you take a look at the link to David Morris' iSeries Toolkit?
In it, he has a service program called DYNSQL that implements most, if
not all, of what you seem to be trying.  The prototype for GetColInf
needed tweaking - I'm now on 7.3.  Several columns needed to become
character type 'c' and CCSID(*UTF16), but it compiled and ran against
his TSTDYNSQL RPG program.

not enough concrete examples.

The one time I needed to do something like this, I was working for a
software house.  That code is their property, and I can't share it.  I
suspect that those few other RPG programmers who have done this are in a
similar situation; thus, few examples.
