... having the Prototypes of exported procedures in a source file of its own minimizes the risc to change these prototypes by accident.

@all in one: using SRCF and members there are 10 chars for the name only and I need them all to make names as meaningfull as possible. => I avoid prefixes and suffixes, wherever possible.
even having my source in Streamfiles, there are only 10 chars for the PGM/SRVPGM names and I prefer to have the same name for source and object. Up to now, I didn't have sources in streamfiles in production, if this would come, I would think about to make it more C-like: Member CUSMSTIO in SRCF QRPGLESRC <=> CUSMSTIO.RPGLE and today I have the Prototypes in member CUSMSTIO in SRCF QRPGLEH <=> CUSMSTIO.RPGLEH
There is much decision to make on someones preferences, but whatever you do: make it to project decision and follow all the same convention.
