I'd tend to agree with this. Gifted amateurs, in general, can go only so far.

IMHO, a good database design is absolutely critical for any successful project and leaving this to unskilled staff is counter productive.

Now I suppose if you consider low-code as a form of Agile development than maybe there is something to be said for it.
