It doesn't really make sense for the two to be used together based on how the key words work. SFLLIN(nn) specifies the number of spaces between columns. It doesn't specify the number of columns. the display file will put as many subfile records across as will fit on a single line. So, SFLLIN is only applicable when a subfile record uses up less than half the width of the screen. SFLFOLD and SFLDROP are only applicable if the subfile record uses up more than the width of the screen. These two are mutually exclusive.

It won't compile, saying CPD7816, SFLLIN not allowed when more than one
line in record.
I don't see that prohibition in the manuals???
has anybody encountered this, and found a workaround?
