Also your friend is using F1 on the message (which might not be helpful in a compile listing, unfortunately) - or DSPMSGD CPD5322, which shows this text:

HTH
Vern

Cause . . . . . : The indicated field specified in a selection field must
have a usage of hidden (H in position 38), program-to-system (P in position
38), or output only (O in position 38). Also, only one output only can
specified for a selection list.

A subfile containing the SFLSNGCHC keyword must:

- Contain only one output field
- Cannot contain input capable fields
- Can contain hidden fields

So I recently learned of the existence of the DDS keyword SFLSNGCHC from a
previous post and decided to try it out. I got it working with a subfile
with a single field in it, however if I put additional display fields in
the subfile (for additional reference info) I get this message on compile.
"CPD5322: Field can not be specified for selection field."
So if I used the SFLSNGCHC I can only have a single field in the subfile?
Is there a way for it to ignore the additional fields?
