I have the PR and PI in the same program.

One more thing to note is the file fields are zoned but the compiled version has PR and PI defined with packed fields.

This definition compiles!

Dcl-Pr SalaryCalc Packed(15:2);
Grade Char(1);
Level Packed(1);
#Exp Packed(2);
End-Pr;

This is the statement where parameter mismatch 2nd and 3rd parameter was provided by compiler with zoned fields.
#RecalcSalary = SalaryCalc(eGrade:eLevel:eExp);

I have seen this before when there was a conflict between prototypes. Are you sure the prototype isn't defined elsewhere with packed values?

Guys,

I was working on writing few completely free programs and stumbled upon this. Despite my prototype and file fields matching it kept complaining about the parameter mismatch for 2nd and 3rd parm.

Definition in file:

A ELEVEL 1S 0
A EEXP 2S 0


I had to change the Level and #EXP field to packed and it compiled fine.

Am I missing this.
