Buck, and John and p.Caroti,

Field Exit is not (and never has been) an AID-generating key.

However, used in combination with "Auto-Enter", pressing the field exit key on a field with "Auto-Enter" enabled will result in the AID byte for Enter being generated, as well as returning data to the host. See page 113 in that manual GA21-9247-2 referenced below.

So, I do not think there is any way to really tell if "field exist" has been pressed.

I know I can request Field Exit Required on the FFW, but I didn't
realise it was also available as an AID code.
