The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We have a couple of old programs where an OPM program opens a print file and does a return to keep it open.
Then subsequent programs share the print file because an OVRPRTF with SHARE(*YES) is used.
The app is used to merge spool files.
One of our developers recently updated one of the called programs to be ILE instead of OPM.
This creates a new spool file (which is what I would expect because of the activation group).
If there a way to share that file open between OPN and ILE programs ?
Possible keeping the ILE call in the same activation group ?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Regards,
