So this problem isn't/wasn't restricted to SQL.

I didn't get any errors resolving multiqualified variables in
either the editor or in an RPG/LE program without SQL. In fact, I have no
problem using those variables in RPG statements -- even if SQL is used in
the program. I only get these errors when I am trying to use those
variables in an embedded SQL statement.

Yes, my mistake. Using multiqualified names causes no problems when
referring to them via "C" statements, but has/had issues when using them
at the "D" level and specifically for a like statement. I was wondering
if that maybe had some link with the SQL having issues with them due to
how it converts/swaps between the RPG code and the SQL code at the
pre-compiler/intermediate stage (something I have no knowledge about I
have to add, so was more of a "is it a similar problem" statement).

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
