RE: Insert into XML column

What is "Document" in your example? When I tried that code, as-is, it won't compile.

EXEC SQL
insert into QTEMP.XMLTABLE
SQL0171: Position 1 Argument 1 of function XMLPARSE not valid.
values( XMLPARSE(Document :xmlFile) );

It seems your XML-Document is either not well-formed or not in UTF-8 (expected default in QAQQINI) You may try to check the XML-File (CLOB-FILE) with the XMLPARSE function before inserting.

Insert into ....
Values(XMLPARSE(Document :YourIFSFile) ;
