That's what I was thinking.
I've done it before at a different company with Exchange, then Novell
Groupwise, and back to Exchange.

You should be able to do that. Our system administrator did this years ago
to retrieve e-mail from our ISP. It was back when we only had a dial-up
Internet account. I don't have any of the details how he did it, but it
should be available. But he had the AS/400 (yes, it was an AS/400 back at
the time) retrieve the e-mail for our account. He was trying to set it up to
read through the retrieved message and forward it to the appropriate person.
I think we got a better service before he ever completed the forwarding
part, but he had the AS/400 retrieving the mail from the ISP using POP.
