I would suggest using the iConv API. Scott Klement has hundreds of
examples of how to use this as well.
https://www.scottklement.com/

If you do a search you'll probably find more examples as well from Scott as
well as others.

If you'd rather not fight with this and other issues with the QtmmSendMail
API, we offer our MAILTOOL software at www.bvstools.com/mailtool.html for a
very inexpensive price (.78 cents a day!). It's been in production at
thousands of shops all over the word for over 15 years now. It offers both
command line and ILE interfaces.

We also offer addons to the MAILTOOL software that allow you bypass the
sometimes troublesome IBM SMTP server and allow you to use cloud sites like
Gmail, Outlook.com, etc that require authentication and/or SSL/TLS.

We also just created an addon for our GreenTools for Microsoft Apps (G4MS)
that allows you to use the Office365.com send email API with MAILTOOL (or
on it's own using ILE). www.bvstools.com/g4ms.html All of microsoft's
apps are moving to this (including outlook.com).

The addons also have the option to use OAuth 2.0 authentication which means
no storing passwords on the hardware. It's can set up for each user from a
green screen in a minimum of 2 clicks (sometimes 3 or 4 if you're not
signed onto the account).

We're seeing a lot of our customers going to Office365 for cloud services,
including mail, which is why we offer this now.

Lots of functionality and proven to work. And very cost effective.

Hello,

The QtmmSendMail API expects the e-mail address to be in CCSID 500:

You can use the QTQCVRT API or iconv APIs to perform the conversion from
your job's CCSID to CCSID 500. Let me
know if you want an RPG example using the QTQCVRT API.

Hi If could post and example i would be gratefull
thanks in advance
