Is the OPEN statement performed after the DECLARE Statement in the source?

Hi!

I os 7.1. Trying to create a datstructure containing a date column - whatever I do the sql precomiler points a "host structure not defined or unusable" on me.
If I remove the date field from the ds the precompiler is happy again.
