Please show your PREPARE, DECLARE and FETCH Statements.
Is the OPEN statement performed after the DECLARE Statement in the source?

Betreff: Embedded sql, multirow fetch and date column
Hi!
I os 7.1. Trying to create a datstructure containing a date column -
whatever I do the sql precomiler points a "host structure not defined or
unusable" on me.
If I remove the date field from the ds the precompiler is happy again.
The database to be read looks like:
sqlstmt = 'Create Table ' +
%trimr( lib ) + '/' + %trimr( file ) + ' ' +
'(DBOBJ CHAR (1000) NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT, ' +
'DBDATE DATE NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT, ' +
'DBTYPE CHAR (1) NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT, ' +
'DBSIZE BIGINT NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT, ' +
'DBCOUNT INTEGER NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT, ' +
'DBID INTEGER NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT) ' +
' rcdfmt ' + %trimr( file ) + 'R';
The DS looks like:
D dx DS qualified dim(1000)
D id 10i 0
D date d
D obj 1000a
D size 20i 0
D count 10i 0
And the open:
sqlstmt = 'select dbid, dbdate, dbobj, dbsize, dbcount ' +
'from ' + %trimr( wxlib ) + '/' + %trimr( wxfile ) +
' where dbtype = ''*'' and dbdate >= ?, and dbobj =
?' +
' order by dbdate desc ' +
' for read only';
exec sql
open tctools_dirstat1_print_summary
using :startdate
:directory;
Any hints on how to define the date column would be much appreciated!
Best regards
