You're right, any blanks in the middle will get trimmed off. That might not be what he wants. So the other option I posted could be in play.

Did you want the array elements trimmed? If so, the loop might be the best answer.

If not, perhaps have the array as a subfield of a data structure, then concatenate the DS to the field.
