Jeff

Did you want the array elements trimmed? If so, the loop might be the best answer.

If not, perhaps have the array as a subfield of a data structure, then concatenate the DS to the field.

Thank you, that was simple enough. Just seemed like I ought to be able to
do it in one statement.

I have a field and an array defined:

dcl-s Field Char(500) ;
dcl-s Array Char(1) Dim(37) Inz(';') ;

I want to concat the entire array onto the end of the field. I've tried
it
3 ways:

Field = %Trim(Field) + Array(*) ;
Field = %Trim(Field) + Array ;
Field = %Trim(Field) + %Subarr(Array:(1)) ;

All give me this compile error:

RNF5343 Array has too many omitted indexes; specification is ignored.

How do I do this?

Thanks.
