error getting:

A semi-colon is not specified at the end of a free-format specification.

This would be easier to diagnose if we could see the compiler listing,
including the error and the line it references. Best guess from here is
that the /end-free is way over to the right instead of at column 7 where
it belongs. When the compiler sees this, it gets confused trying to
comprehend how to do the math of (something) divided by a field called
END, subtracting a variable called FREE. Of course, there is no
semicolon after this expression, so the compiler gives up and reports that.

It's perfectly legal to write this code:
slot = aisle/end-free;

It's also perfectly legal to write this code:
slot = aisle
/end-free
;
