I have a project where I'm parsing some XML data using XML-Sax and running
into an error (error code 6) from the parser on this character:
x'E28099'
Unicode Character 'RIGHT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK' (U+2019)
The stream file has a code page 1208.
The file has a lot of single quotes that work fine, but this appears to be
from data entered when someone uses the right quote instead of ' for a
single quote.
’ vs ' (not sure if that will post correctly.. the first one is the quote
symbol causing the issues, the second one parses fine).
I'm not sure if this is a case where I'll need to talk to the trading
partner to see if they can replace these, or if I'll need to read through
the xml first and do the replacing myself. Or maybe trap it in handler and
replace it and continue on?
Any ideas? Thanks!
Brad
