That is correct, but is that a bad thing? Most people are used to PCs and
Macs and the like sorting that way.

Also check the results of your sorting - I think that if you use
*LANGIDSHR, that the order is more like ASCII. In particular, I've seen
an instance that numbers are before letters in the sort, while with
EBCDIC they are after letters.
But check this - it has been awhile.
