Another option for case insensitive searches is to have the following at the
start of your program
EXEC SQL SET OPTION SRTSEQ=*LANGIDSHR
This causes SQL to use a different character set where upper and lower case
characters are weighted the same. This does effect sorting (ORDER BY) too.
