The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
There are lots of free tools for this available for Linux or other
platforms, I imagine they could be made to run on IBM i rather simply..
that seems to me a much better option than writing your own.
But, if you did want to write your own, then you could do so. they are
stream files stored in /www/YOUR-INSTANCE/logs. I would use the
fopen/fgets/fclose family of IFS APIs to read them, should be fairly
simple and fast. Then you'd need to parse the message and accumulate
statistics, which might take a bit of coding -- certainly doable -- but
here's where I think it might make a lot more sense to just grab an
existing tool rather than write your own... it's not really difficult,
just... why reinvent the wheel?

Is there any means of accessing these stats through RPG?
