LOL - I didn't take the smiley as joking - rather, as "this is a good
thing", as the OP was looking for an RPG editor.
Someone contributed a clip library for RPG in TextPad - snippets,
basically, of the format lines. I've done a little work to make a clip
library for RPGLE, but haven't finished it yet.
No syntax files for TextPad, however, that I know of.
I was looking at Notepad++ as an editor for labs I'm working on -
TextPad costs, although it has an evaluation period - so NP++ seemed a
good alternative, and will be available on the laptops provided for the
labs. Another of our developers here uses it for editing XML content.
So my purpose is related to non-RPG stuff - but Thomas' comment piqued
my curiosity.

Vern

what? My thought was that he meant it was silly to even contemplate
using Notepad++ for RPG. By "you can add your own syntax highlighting
for RPG" I think he meant you can go through the work of defining it
yourself, because Notepad++ is sufficiently customizable.
If I may ask, what is your specific purpose? You don't seem to be joking....
