You are correct, mixing and matching POSITION() with location entries and
SPACEx() SKIPx() is tricky. In fact, you can't do it at all within a
single record.

Ideally, you should use POSITION() for everything...but I'll admit it's
easier to use SPACEA for the detail...

You're probably going to want a dummy record with a SKIPx() written prior
to the first detail to position the detail correctly.

You might also end up needing ENDPAGE()
