I found one way of accomplishing a lookup on an array. I'm sure I'm going to get a ton
of suggestions because everyone has a different way of doing it. Please remember I'm
running on V5R3.

D EarnTypeS 3 Overlay(EarnTSum: *Next)
D HoursSum 12 2 Overlay(EarnTSum: *Next)
D PaySum 12 2 Overlay(EarnTSum: *Next)
C Z-Add *Zero I
C Totals Begsr
C Eval *In30 = *Off
C For X = 1 to I
C If EarnTypeL = EarnTypeS(x)
C Eval *In30 = *On
C Leave
C EndIF
C EndFor
C If *In30 = *On
C Eval HoursSum(x) = HoursSum(x) + HoursWorkTT
C Eval PaySum(x) = PaySum(x) + EarnTypePayTT

I have a multidimensional array:

D EarnTypeS 3
D HoursSum 12 2
D PaySum 12 2

If I do a Lookup like this:
C EarnTypeL Lookup EarnTypeS(x) 30
The compiler gives me an error saying EarnTypeS is not defined.

If I do a Lookup like this:
C EarnTypeL Lookup EarnTSum(x).EarnTypeS 30
SEU gives me an error saying:
Result field entry is not valid for LOOKUP

I'm running V5R3

How can I do the Lookup?
