What about SQLCLI? Would that handle a CLOB?

Which problem do you think using CLI would solve?

"... SQL package TESTPGM99 in LIBRARY not found at DRDA Server...."

The purely dynamic nature of the SQL CLI eliminates a requirement for any SQL Package at the server; i.e. "DB2 for i CLI applications do not need to be bound to each database to which they connect."

While I have never used LOBs with the CLI, I expect the SQLCLI certainly must include support necessary for processing the LOB data types; likely some details in docs for SQLBindCol() and SQLBindParameter(), and as I recall there are similar API calls for Bind to file for the LOB types.
