Is the position of the windows fixed? Or does it pop-up at the cursor?
If the latter, it's possible that the window is to close to the edge of the
screen.
As you know, the GUI border takes some extra bytes. before and after...if
you try to put it to close to column 80 (or 132) it will disappear.
