The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

That is, I thought I had exhausted all permutations of the path, allowextra and allowmissing options along with the construction/naming of the data structure. And I had looked all over Google for examples. Most of the examples I found were using very straightforward XML and therefore, not extremely helpful. Also, the DS situation becomes confusing in a hurry to me.
Hi Chris, about allowmissing, since you're a) on 6.1 and b) new to
XML-INTO, I suggest that you pretend that the allowmissing option
doesn't exist.
The trouble with allowmissing=yes is that it allows _everything_ to be
missing. The countprefix option gives you more control over what you
want to allow to be missing. The little bit of extra coding required for
countprefix is nothing compared to the hours of hair-tearing debugging
that allowmissing=yes can cause.
You can find the documentation for countprefix in the 7.1 ILE RPG
