We use both TestDrive and TestBench.  They're decent products, work pretty much as advertised.

In a former life (probably 5-6 years aga) I used TestDrive from Original
Software.  It was not cheap but we were a large company.  It did support
5250 record and playback, though from their site they have no branched
out to other platforms.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for automated testing software to test RPG programs (interactive and batch)? Something where we could enter a set of keystrokes and have the system or PC go through testing automatically? It would simulate user keystrokes in an interactive mode, and could be used to create test files for batch jobs.

The software could be used to perform standard data validation processes, and also be able to create batch input files with large amounts of input data in order to test program capacities and internal counter and total fields.
