We are running Win 7 and the exel add-ins work fine.

Subject: File transfer - text file to physical file, 1 numeric field
Hello all,
I'm trying to upload a one-field text file to the AS/400 and place the data into a physical file. The data is coming from SQL Server and is one field, numeric. Here's what I've done so far:
* It started out in an Excel sheet. I don't have the Excel add-in, because I'm now on Windows 7 and the normal installation of the add-in per IBM doesn't like the format of the add-in itself.
* I saved it to a text file.
* I can FTP it to the 400, and that works fine. It comes over as one field.
I'd like to put the data in a work file with one numeric field defined, in as easy a way as possible, and without having to write a quickie program to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
