I am submitting the job and debugging it, which is not the same thing as
running it interactively.

STRSRVJOB allows you to debug a batch program.

You say that the program is not running interactively. If you submit the

call to a batch job, it is normal to see messages in the job log that the
system deletes all objects in QTEMP. So it might very well be that your
program ran fine.

One additional point regarding the job log that looks strange, it
supposedly creates the object and then deletes it, which makes no sense.
