I do that most of the time also.

About the only exception is simple CHGVARs, e.g.
IF (blah) CHGVAR &FIELD 'FOO'
ELSE CHGVAR &FIELD 'BAR'

Same thing for EXEC on MONMSG and WHEN and OTHERWISE on SELECT.
