Those paper tapes had a finite life. One had to replace them before
they wore out (i.e., the sprockets ate through the paper).
We always kept backup copies of the printer tapes. It was a lot eazier
to copy from a good tape instead of a torn up one.
Did anyone ever program RPG on a Univac 92xx mainframe computer (S/360
equivalent)?
Speaking of cards: did anyone work on the Univac 90 column cards (round
holes & more reliable reading)? IBM laughed them out of the 90 column
card format and then came out with their own small 96 column cards
themselves with round holes.
Thanks, Chuck
