I found a Java example and it took about 30 minutes to put together a general Java program to accomplish this.
I wrapped it with a CL program and Viola it's done.
Hate to say it but for complex things like XML, Java is much more efficient.

Subject: Updating XML File from an RPG App
Hi Guys,
I didn't seem to be able to find anything on this topic.
I have an XML file where I want to simply update a field value or values in an XML file.
All the examples I have seen and used so far in RPG seem to be read-only.
I want to read an existing XML and update it.
Any thoughts for best way to do this in RPG ?
Note: I can write a Java wrapper if absolutely necessary, but would like this to be RPG based if possible.
