Uh, the key phrase here is "ought not get." Sort of like "should" in the
IBM Pollyanna Principle.

I feel rather like Gus Grissom did after he was rescued from his sinking
Mercury spacecraft. Did you hear about what they found, decades later,
when Liberty Bell 7 was raised?

Working on a testcase. If the problem is easily duplicated under
testcase conditions (definitely NOT guaranteed where weird runtime bugs
are concerned), I'll publish it right here, and look into opening a PMR
about it.
