The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

ADDLNK OBJ('jre/lib') NEWLNK(lib) LNKTYPE(*SYMBOLIC)
<<SNIP>> I may come back to this. The error listing makes it appear
that Java is searching for files in multiple directories, so I'd
envision possibly needing multiple symbolic links. But if a symbolic
link fixes my problem, would that mess up the Java programs that ARE
WORKING; HTTP ADMIN instances, and so forth?
For anything that previously had been "Searched in
/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk60/32bit/lib/" but not found, for
which there was a fallback resolution, that code could then suddenly
start finding the desired object in the redirected-to path. For example
from the second message, the one to which I replied, the file
"/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk60/32bit/lib/vm.jar" which was
apparently looked for but not found in ".../32bit/lib/", since would be
found, after the creation of that symbolic link. And if
"/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk60/32bit/lib/jars.cfg" presumably
should have been found as ".../32bit/jre/lib/jars.cfg", then perhaps
"class java/lang/Object" searched for in
"/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk60/32bit/lib/vm.jar" should have been
found by looking in ".../32bit/jre/lib/vm.jar" instead of one of the
other /fallback/ locations, and thus the one symbolic link would have
circumvented both apparently /missing/ objects.?
