Basically you will want to format HTML data with embedded links and CSS info for any of your formatted statements.

You can probably write the data to IFS files and then send those files using one of the freebie utilities.

Another option would be to write the HTML stream to a spool file and use a tool such as our Email Report Server/400 product to send the HTML based spool files.

Then all you have to do is create a print file as you usually do using HTML formatting instead of line printing. We concert it to an embedded HTML message.

Let me know if you have any questions.

subject: Looking to Email HTML type forms

I'm looking for someone to guide me on the correct path, what we are trying to do is email customers order/shipment confirmations in HTML format(company wants email to look pretty). I've seen that has a Mime&Mail utility that can send this information. I guess what I'm looking for, is how RPG write/updates the HTML in IFS or do I need to use JAVA. Also will need to use logo's and pictures with these emails but that's not important to me currently. Not sure if this question is even in the right list.
