Jerry,

It's whether you use the OPEN op-code (explicit open) or whether the
program opens the file automatically (implicit open). By coding the OPEN
statement you *are* explicitly opening the file.

So basically, there's no point in doing a MONITOR for 1216, since an
implicit file open is performed when the program is initialized, before any
user code gets executed.
