If that's what it does, then it probably fits my needs.
I was more after has anyone used it in a real production scenario besides Zend :-)
Wanted to make sure Zend wasn't a requirement and I could use it without the Zend server.
It appears that I can. Can you confirm that it will work with straight HTTP Server on i ?
My plan is to have a consumable service that can be called from .Net, PHP, etc without using Java or PHP.

XMLSERVICE exposes your RPG program as a webservice or stored procedure using a generic XML interface. So are you talking about consuming it from RPG? Otherwise, I don't see the difference. PHP uses XMLSERVICE to call RPG (as any other language could), so what other use of it were you thinking?
