Re: Record Deletion on a Remote System

The company I currently work for sends files with requested
add/update/delete records between systems, Each system has a job
monitoring for a file received message from a specific user ID. a list of
files waiting to process is run thru a program to generate jobs that
receive the file and process the records into the files on that system. As
new files are created that need to be kept in sync on various systems, a
master file is updated that controls where the file can be sent, and the
name of the programs involved to keep it up to date. This was in place
before I got here and works very well. If a system is down, the file waits
in a distribution queue until the system is up so it can transmit and
process.
