Most of the RPG portions of QuestView are OPM RPG, for three reasons:
(1) to avoid "impedance bumps" between them and the MI main program
(2) because they hardly ever need to be touched, and I'm a great
believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
(3) back when we had a working V2R3 box, they were kept on OPM RPG for
backlevel compatibility.
But I haven't written an entirely new OPM RPG program in many years, and
I find it a royal pain in the butt on those rare occasions when I have
to go back into them. And those new features in QuestView that require
entirely new and separate programs are ALL written in ILE languages.
