Your printer example surely could be solved by the print key on a browser.
Sure, I guess there are things that just should not be printed.

I'm still hopeful that the idea of making it easy to co-exist from one
program get more traction. I'd have to go into a lot of details to convince
you why I would have needed it, and I'm not doing that on this mailing list

I have to apologize to you Crispin. I must have written it and yet still have no recollection of having done so. Doesn't even feel like my phrasing - but obviously I wrote it. Weird.

You don't need to convince me. The more people I have taught and discussed OA with, the more my I find my position changing. Clearly there are a lot of people who want a single program to be able to use both interfaces and I can understand that requirement.

For me the most frustrating thing about OA is that there are many improvements and extensions that would be of huge benefit - this being just one, but IBM may well end up not doing them because "not enough people are using it". Completely ignoring the fact that their own pricing and availability actions are the direct cause. I know changes are under consideration at IBM - I'm just hoping that they are made while there is still interest in the community. For myself I have at least two more ideas for handlers that I would like to experiment with and make available for people to play with, but it is really hard to justify spending the time when so few people can use it.
