RNF7542 on compile


I get a compile error that points to a problem with this code (presumably)

I *think* it is complaining the the WriteLine procedure can't take a variable but all the procedure does is fill a variable in the output file. The idea is to write messages to the printer file about errors and warnings. Can I not pass a variable parameter in this case?
